Green’s return to WWE has seen her prove all of her doubters and detractors in the industry wrong. She has taken every opportunity that the company granted her and gave it 100%. In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, she spoke about Triple H’s call asking if she’d like to return to WWE. She said:

“Like, ‘Hey. Do you just want to come back and see where it goes? Or do you want to wait? And do you want us to give you a storyline? And do you have any ideas?’ I said, ‘I just want to come back. I don’t care what you do with me.’ Because at that point, I didn’t. I just wanted stability and to be back. And I knew that if they gave me the opportunity that I felt I deserved in the first run, I could prove [it] to them.” (h/t Wrestling Inc)

Green’s natural talent has allowed her to thrive in WWE. Even though she is a heel, she became a fan-favorite that people wanted to see succeed. To her credit, she has done well. She is a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. She was the first WWE Women’s US Champion and got her own faction. All of this happened because of how great she is. But, many times with her booking, it felt like WWE held back in their full commitment to making Green a main event level star.

Cardona ended up winning the WWE US Title, and it felt like fans were being heard. But he immediately became an afterthought in storylines where he should have been a top player.
